Sustainability Area

Sustainability is not a a side issue – it is key to the future of the market

With the launch of the Sustainability Area, INOVA COLLECTION 2025 set an important example for greater sustainability in the jewellery industry. The themed area brought together dedicated partners actively championing fair trade, transparent sourcing and sustainable production.

‘With our Sustainability Area we have managed to provide active support for discourse and bring in new ideas and stimuli. We are delighted with the positive response, which we see as clear confirmation that we are on the right track with this format.’

Ralf G. Schröder | expert and business consultant for the jewellery and gemstone sector with a focus on fair and sustainable markets

Visibility for responsible action

Following the successful launch last year, the Sustainability Area is developing its content further with new perspectives from research and practice: the focus here is on expert dialogue, which is strengthened by the support of the Institute for Industrial Ecology (INEC) at Pforzheim University as well as the Zentralverband der Deutschen Gold- und Silberschmiede (Central Association of German Goldsmiths and Silversmiths).

Together with Ralf G. Schröder and the responsible jewellery initiative, a platform is being created for dialogue and new impetus within the industry. The focus lies on transparent supply chains, fair production processes and binding values and standards. The Sustainability Area sees itself as a forum for responsible action and as a link between industry, trade, design and craftsmanship.

Expertise, practical relevance, and personal dialogue

In 2026, the INOVA COLLECTION will once again combine two formats in a shared space: while the Sustainability Area will provide inspiration for responsible jewellery production, ‘The regulars’ table – where jewellery, design and the art of goldsmithery come together’ will bring the digital exchange on Facebook to life at the trade fair. The result is a platform that combines professional expertise, practical relevance, and personal dialogue – and not only discusses sustainability, but also brings it to life.
