The highlight of the first day of the fair was the GOLDEN NOVA award ceremony.
Under the theme ‘Noble combinations – the interplay of metals’, ten nominated talents presented their design ideas on the award area – each selected by a high-calibre panel of industry experts.
Annelie Klimmek of Zwei machen Schmuck won the competition with her ring ‘Tic Tac Toe’. Silver went to Alicia Eigenbrodt of aurifique Goldschmiedeatelier for her bracelet ‘in fluxu temporis’. And in the Bronze category, Paula Zentgraf of the Berufsfachschule Glas und Schmuck Neugablonz was celebrated for her bracelet ‘Gesteckt’
Kristina Jung of the Staatliche Zeichenakademie Hanau was voted as the audience favourite with her ring ‘Mitternachtssonne’. As an additional honour alongside her prize money, she will be awarded her own presentation area at next year’s INOVA COLLECTION.
