Sustainability Area – a visible sign for sustainability in the jewellery industry
Posted on 12. February 2026 in General
In 2026, we will once again realise the SUSTAINABILITY AREA in cooperation with Ralf G. Schröder, expert and business consultant for the jewellery and gemstone sector with a focus on fair and sustainable markets. In addition, we are pleased to receive scientific support this year from Prof. Dr. Issaoui-Domnik of INEC at Pforzheim University.
The Sustainability Area is aimed at manufacturers and associations that are actively committed to sustainable practices, transparency and due diligence throughout the entire jewellery value chain. When selecting participating companies, we place particular emphasis on the following criteria:
- Holistic sustainability: demonstrable ecological and social responsibility supported by concrete measures and results
- Innovative and resource-efficient approaches: solutions that improve resource efficiency and reduce environmental impact, for example through the integration of circular economy concepts
- Fair production models: ensuring fair working conditions throughout the entire supply chain
- Transparency in resource sourcing: clear traceability of the origin and procurement of all materials used
